1. Why participate in a Matching Gift program?
A Matching Gift program is a great way for you to donate to the St. Lawrence Martyr Education Foundation (STLMEF) without tapping into any of your own personal funds. Employers establish these programs to help support institutions and charities that are important to their employees.
2. Will it cost me anything to participate in a Matching Gift Program?
These programs do not require any fees from you as they are established as part of the employers’ philanthropic program. Each program has its own guidelines and requirements, the amount of donation that will be matched, and what is required to process a matching gift.
3. How can I encourage my employer to match my donations?
Contact the Human Resources Department at your company and ask for the form. You may also need to submit the information to the STLMEF for us to fill out our portion of the form before the gift is granted. A new form may be required each time you make a donation to STLMEF.
